Spinwelding is
a method of attaching fittings to rotationally molded plastics by friction
welding.
The fitting is spun by a router at approximately
20,000rpms, welding the fitting to the rotomolded tank.
Spinweld fittings
are available in most pipe sizes from ¼" to 4".
They may be flush mounted or a boss. This eliminates the
need for trying to tap a pipe thread into the wall of a plastic
part and can replace costly bulkhead fittings.
